Reliably good park visit

This was our third time visiting Blair Drummond, and it's consistently a great day out. We always get the annual pass now, it just makes sense for us. The Lion Reserve was particularly active this time, which was a treat. The Elephant Habitat area seems to have been updated since our last visit, which was nice to see. It's a reliable choice for keeping the kids entertained, and the animal experiences are always well-run.

Good value for a family day

We visited last month and got the family pass discount. It made a big difference for us. The entry fee felt really reasonable for how much there was to do. We stayed all day and saw the lions and elephants. Definitely felt like we got our money's worth.

Good park, minor queue

The park offers a lot for the price, especially with the early bird tickets. The drive-thru safari was excellent; seeing the giraffes and zebras up close was a real treat. The Adventure Play Area kept the kids busy for ages. My only slight criticism was the queue for the Safari Diner, it took a while to get served. Otherwise, a very enjoyable day and we'd likely go back.

Loved the lemurs!

Oh my goodness, what an amazing day we had! The Lemur Land was just incredible, they were so playful and close. My kids absolutely adored the Pirate Ship Play Area. We even caught the Bird of Prey Display, which was super cool. We stayed until closing time, there was so much to see and do. I'm already planning our next trip, maybe we'll do a Keeper for a Day experience next time!

Easy day out

Booked online, easy entry. Saw the rhinos and tigers. Kids loved the Flying Fox. Good day, no complaints.

Smooth booking, fun day

Booking tickets online was straightforward; I got the 'Safari Saver' deal a few weeks ahead. The entry process was quick, just showed my QR code. The drive-thru safari was great, seeing the Barbary Macaques was a highlight. We then spent hours at the Adventure Play Area, which was huge. The Sea Lion Presentation was informative. Staff were friendly enough, no issues there. Food at The Safari Diner was pretty standard park fare, nothing amazing but filled a gap. Overall, a solid day out.

Are there any student discounts for tickets? Or is it just the Blue Light Card stuff?

R Rachel Hall 3 weeks ago
I think they do offer student discounts, yeah. You'd probably need to show your student ID when you book or at the gate. Check their deals page.

They usually have student rates, but it's often part of a specific booking link or deal rather than a 'code'. Best to look on their site for current offers.

Hey, thinking of taking the kids to Blair Drummond soon. How long does it usually take to get through the drive-thru part? Don't want to rush but also gotta plan for little attention spans.

O Olivia G. 3 days ago
It really depends on how busy it is and how much you stop. I'd say maybe an hour to an hour and a half on a quieter day, but if it's packed, could easily be longer. The animals sometimes block the road too lol.

Yeah, budget at least an hour. We went on a bank holiday and it took us closer to 2 hours with all the traffic and stopping for photos. Worth it though!

Does anyone know if Blair Drummond has electric car charging? Trying to figure out if I need to juice up before heading out there.

A Ashley Parker 2 weeks ago
I don't think they do, at least I didn't see any last time I was there a few months ago. Might be worth checking their website directly to be sure.

Nah, pretty sure they don't. You'd have to find something nearby before or after.

Can I leave the park and come back later the same day? Wanted to pop out for something quickly.

D Donna G. 4 weeks ago
Yeah, you can. Just make sure you get your hand stamped or something similar on your way out, so they know you're returning. They'll tell you at the gate.

Yep, they allow re-entry. Just keep your ticket and get a pass out from the gate staff.

Is it okay to bring your own food and drinks to Blair Drummond? Just wondering if we need to pack a picnic or if their food is reasonably priced.

K Kevin Garcia 3 weeks ago
Totally! We always bring a packed lunch. There are loads of picnic spots, makes it way cheaper than buying everything there.

H Hannah P. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, you can bring your own stuff. We usually grab a coffee there but eat our sandwiches we brought.
